Bayda: Bunyan Development Foundation concluded on Sunday a training course aimed at strengthening the administrative and executive capacities of the cooperative associations of Wesab al-Aali district in Dhamar governorate and al-Zaher district in Bayda governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the course was funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the two governorates and organized in partnership with the Agricultural Cooperative Union. It targeted 18 participants from cooperative association cadres in the districts of Wasab al-Aali and al-Zaher.
The program focused on equipping participants with modern skills in administration, strategic planning, guidance, evaluation and follow-up mechanisms, as well as the development of financial and accounting systems in accordance with institutional and developmental work methodologies.
At the closing ceremony, Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris stressed that qualifying cooperative association personnel represents a fundamental pillar for strengthening institutional work and enhancing the role of such associations in serving the community, in line with current challenges and local development needs.
For his part, Chairman of the Agricultural Cooperative Union Mubarak al-Qaili stated that the program comes within the framework of a shared vision between Bonyan Foundation and the union to empower cooperative associations to lead sustainable agricultural development and build an effective cooperative sector that contributes to achieving self-sufficiency and strengthening national production.
