Dhamar: Governor of Dhamar, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, honored outstanding students in the cultural and creative competitions of schools and summer courses for the year 1447 AH. The event celebrated students' achievements in various fields, showcasing the importance of educational and cultural development within the community.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competitions were organized by the subcommittee for schools and summer courses in the governorate under the slogan 'Knowledge and Jihad.' The contests spanned several disciplines, including the Holy Qur'an, public speaking, academic methodology, singing and traditional chants (Zawamil), poetry, theater, calligraphy, and drawing.
Governor Al-Bukhaiti underscored the significance of summer schools and courses in enhancing students' awareness and preparing them with the necessary knowledge and Qur'anic culture. He emphasized that true awareness extends beyond mere knowledge, highlighting the ability to discern allies from adversaries and understand the stance of those who support or oppose them.
He further remarked on Yemen's dedication to summer schools, noting the hostility these programs face from adversaries, which he stated is greater than their opposition to missile and air industries. He stressed that nations can only progress when awareness accompanies knowledge and expressed confidence that a well-aware nation could overcome the Zionist project in the region without resorting to violence, compelling the United States to choose between its economic interests with two billion Muslims or with seven million Zionists occupying Palestinian lands.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including members of the Shura Council, Abdulwahid Al-Sharafi and Abdo Al-Alawi, as well as Deputy Governors Mohammed Abdulrazzaq and Mahmoud Al-Jubain. Mobilization official Ahmed Al-Durani highlighted the importance of summer schools in fostering students' scientific and cultural capabilities and protecting them from soft warfare, commending the efforts of subcommittees and organizers in implementing the summer activities and programs.
Education Sector Director in the governorate, Mohammed Al-Hadi, noted that the qualification rounds involved 880 male and female students across schools and districts, culminating in the final governorate-level competition. He reported that 129 students achieved top positions and were honored with certificates of appreciation and material prizes.
