Baydha: Baydha Governor Abdullah Idris inspected the progress of road construction and filling works on the Qifa-Mahliya-Marib road, a strategic route linking the governorates of Baydha and Marib. Governor Idris reviewed the project's progress, including the ongoing road construction, widening, and filling works in several rugged mountainous sections, particularly in areas requiring engineering interventions to ensure the road's safety and sustainability.
According to Yemen News Agency, the road passes through the Za'aj-Yakla pass, reaching the Al-Sadara area, and from there connects to the main road in the Mahliya district of Marib Governorate. This gives the road significant importance in connecting remote areas to main transportation routes and facilitating the movement of people and goods.
The governor listened to a briefing from project managers about the nature of the work being carried out and the main challenges, namely the rugged mountainous terrain and the need for heavy equipment to expedite the work. The Governor of Baydha emphasized the importance of the project in serving the residents of the beneficiary districts, facilitating traffic and the transport of goods between the two governorates, and alleviating the suffering of citizens, especially in rural areas. He stressed the need to redouble efforts and adhere to the approved technical and engineering specifications.
He directed the implementing agencies to expedite the completion of the work according to the specified timetable and to address any difficulties while adhering to public safety procedures.
