Beijing: The total value of foreign trade in goods in the Chinese capital, Beijing, during the first 11 months of this year reached 2.93 trillion yuan (one US dollar equals approximately 7.06 yuan), including exports worth 568.35 billion yuan, an increase of 3%, marking its highest level for the same period in history, while imports reached 2.36 trillion yuan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the value of imports and exports in Beijing during November reached 252.62 billion yuan. Since July, Beijing has seen five consecutive months of year-on-year growth in export value, with the first 11 months of the year recording the highest export value ever for that period.
Among the goods that experienced significant growth in export value were semiconductors, automobiles, and flat panel displays, with exports by November exceeding the total value for the entire previous year.
During the first 11 months, Beijing's foreign trade relations with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative also saw significant growth, with imports and exports to these countries reaching 1.76 trillion yuan, representing 60.1% of the city's total imports and exports.
Exports from emerging industries in Beijing also witnessed a notable increase between January and November, particularly in the automotive, information technology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and low-carbon green industries. As for Beijing's imports and exports of cultural products, they reached 23.37 billion yuan during the period, an increase of 25.9%.
