Sanaa: A meeting chaired by the Capital Secretary and head of the development team, Dr. Hamoud Abbad, focused on investment opportunities and methodologies within the Capital Secretariat.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by key figures such as the Head of the Social Affairs Committee and Deputy Head of the team Hamoud Al-Nuqib, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment Mohammed Qatran, and various deputy governors and directors, reviewed the results of a recent investment survey. The gathering aimed to encourage investment in small and micro enterprises, assess existing projects, and address challenges faced by productive families.
The discussions emphasized the development of institutional and methodological frameworks to enhance the investment environment. This included establishing special standards for entrepreneurs and registering their products to regulate the market and boost competitiveness. The meeting also addressed the textile, tailoring, leather products, and tanning sectors, aiming to link them with the private sector and factories through established standards.
Efforts were made to explore solutions for providing necessary materials and tools, strengthening cooperation among government bodies, the private sector, and relevant entities, to support productive families and improve output. Dr. Hamoud Abbad highlighted the importance of integrating efforts to support small and micro projects for sustainable economic development.
Undersecretary Mohammed Qatran stressed the need for a unified identity for productive families, with clear project standards and support for marketing processes. Al-Nuqib noted the meeting's role in coordinating efforts among authorities to support productive projects and economic empowerment, contributing to sustainable development and self-sufficiency.
Participants emphasized the importance of networking between entities and production sectors, with a focus on quality control, improved packaging, and adopting distinctive trademarks for products.
