Sanaa: Capital Secretary Dr. Hamoud Abbad inspected on Wednesday asphalt maintenance and rehabilitation works being carried out by the Executive Unit for Road, Public Places Construction and Maintenance as part of preparations for the Prophet Muhammad's birthday anniversary.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Abbad, accompanied by Capital Secretariat Deputy for Public Works and Projects Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Houthi, reviewed the rehabilitation of deteriorated sections and asphalt filling of potholes on Djibouti Street, the entrance to Al-Sabeen Square, and the capital's southern entrance from Souq Al-Khamis to the Tax Point in Bani Al-Harith.
During the inspection, Eng. Ammar Al-Zindani briefed Dr. Abbad on the progress of maintenance works being implemented by three field teams on the targeted streets. The works are being conducted in accordance with the field work plan and under the supervision of the Public Works and Projects Sector.
Dr. Abbad emphasized the need to intensify efforts and accelerate work to complete the maintenance and rehabilitation of entrances and streets leading to Al-Sabeen Square, with the aim of improving the roads and ensuring a proper welcome for visitors on the occasion.
