Central Correctional Facility in Sanaa Marks Ghadir Day with Cultural Event

Sanaa: The Central Correctional Facility in the Capital Secretariat commemorated the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah (Ghadir Day) for the year 1447 AH with a cultural evening.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event included performances of various folklore segments: Bara'a, folk songs, poems, anthems, an operetta, and speeches addressing the biography and virtues of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) as a model of justice, courage, wisdom, and faithfulness to Islamic values and principles.

During the event, the Director General of the Central Correctional Facility, Brigadier General Ali Abu Kahla, considered the commemoration of Ghadir Day as a faith-based and cultural milestone to draw lessons from the biography of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and to translate his values and principles into practical behavior in daily life.

He affirmed the nation's need today for the values of justice, trustworthiness, sincerity, and responsibility that Imam Ali (peace be upon him) embodied in various stages of his life.

He explained that the General Administration of the Correctional Facility pays great attention to cultural, faith-based, and awareness aspects alongside its correctional and rehabilitation duties, based on its conviction that building individuals and enhancing their awareness is a fundamental pillar for the success of the reform and rehabilitation process.

The event, attended by social figures and inmates of the correctional facility, featured speeches and cultural segments emphasizing the importance of the occasion in consolidating faith-based identity and strengthening the connection to Islamic values and principles.
