Al-dhale': Popular festivals and oratorical events were organized today in the districts of Damt, Qa'atabah, Jabin, and Al-Husha in Al-Dhale' province to commemorate the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah (Day of Guardianship). The events were held under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master."
According to Yemen News Agency, the festivals and events in Damt were led by the Acting Governor of Al-Dhale'e, Abdul Latif Al-Shughdari, the Deputy Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development, Anas Sinan, and the mobilization official of the province, Ahmed Al-Murani. The leaders affirmed the depth of love and loyalty to God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the banners of guidance.
The events highlighted the Yemeni people's connection to their faith-based identity and the principle of guardianship (wilayah) as proclaimed by the Greatest Messenger by the command of Almighty God. The significance of wilayah in achieving dignity, honor, victory, and liberation from foreign guardianship and external hegemony was emphasized, as well as confronting global arrogance. The festivals featured poems and folk chants that expressed the significance of the occasion.
