China: China has announced the discovery of its largest gold mine ever, with a massive reserve of 1,440 tons, a scientific and strategic achievement that strengthens its position in the global mining sector.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Xinhua News Agency quoted the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources as saying in a statement on Friday that "the mine, located in Liaoning Province in the northeast of the country, is the largest low-grade gold mine in China."
The average gold concentration in the Dadongo mine deposit is 0.56 grams per ton. The ore body extends to a depth of between 115 and 913 meters below the surface, with an average thickness of 263 meters and a maximum thickness of 513 meters.
The statement emphasized the strategic importance of this discovery, noting that "the project's implementation will significantly contribute to boosting China's strategic gold reserves."
It stressed the great importance of the project in building a world-class gold mining base in Liaoning Province, paving the way for transforming the region into a leading global center for gold mining.
