Sana'a: The Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development announced that the morning working hours will end at noon tomorrow, Monday, the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, corresponding to May 18, 2026. The decision aims to facilitate participation in protest marches.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry issued a circular explaining that the early end to official working hours will allow leaders and employees of public service units at both central and local levels, as well as those in mixed and private sectors, to partake in marches. These marches, led by Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, are organized in the capital and other governorates to protest against the desecration of Islamic holy sites and the burning of the Holy Quran, reinforcing the Islamic faith's stance against such acts.
The Ministry called on all public service units to ensure essential services are maintained while organizing their workflows to support broad participation in the marches. The emphasis was laid on active involvement in the events as a demonstration of unity and faith.
