Sana'a: The Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority has announced a three-month extension for the validity of expired national ID cards, starting from Monday, 18 Jumada II 1447 AH, which corresponds to 8 December 2025. This decision comes as a relief to many Yemeni citizens who are facing challenges due to the current circumstances in the country.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Authority stated that this extension aims to provide citizens with adequate time to complete the renewal procedures for their ID cards. The decision reflects an understanding of the difficulties currently faced by the populace and endeavors to ease the process of renewing essential identification documents.
The Authority has encouraged all citizens to expedite the renewal of their expired ID cards within the newly specified timeframe. To facilitate this process, the Authority has implemented various technical and organizational measures to minimize overcrowding and accelerate the processing of applications at all its branches nationwide.
