Taiz: The Subcommittee for Activities, Summer Courses, and Mobilization in Taiz Province organized a closing ceremony for the 1447 AH summer courses under the slogan 'Knowledge and Jihad.' The event, held at the square of the Great Prophet, featured a mass formation display by 4,000 students from various districts, showcasing the culmination of their summer, model, and scout school activities.
According to Yemen News Agency, Acting Governor Ahmed Al-Masawa highlighted the significance of the summer courses in cultivating a promising Quranic generation. He emphasized that these courses helped discover students' hidden talents, nurturing their interests and creativity. Al-Masawa expressed pride in the dedication shown over the weeks of the program, describing the students as a promising generation filled with dignity and pride.
Al-Masawa extended his gratitude to the Revolution Leader, Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, for his guidance and vision in supporting the younger generation. He also acknowledged the support from the President of the Supreme Political Council and the Government of Construction. He praised the collaboration among education, youth, health, security, and agriculture sectors in ensuring the success of the courses, providing students with foundational exposure and practical skills.
The philosophy of the summer schools, explained Al-Masawa, is grounded in building a strong generation equipped with a 'Quranic balance.' He emphasized the courses' role in instilling values of honesty, integrity, and humility, which will serve as moral guidance throughout life. Al-Masawa described the participating youth as a beacon of goodness, illuminating future paths with their awareness and creativity.
Deputy Minister of Youth for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadhban, praised the scene of Taiz students during the celebratory parade, highlighting their embodiment of faith and wisdom. He saluted the people of Taiz as icons of the revolution, noting Yemen's investment in preparing a generation fortified with faith, capable of confronting various challenges.
The ceremony also featured a speech by scholar Habib Taher Al-Haddar, who highlighted the historic status of Yemen and the faith-based promise carried by the students. Al-Haddar commended the state and government leadership for creating an environment conducive to spiritual strength and preparation against injustice.
Director of the Quran Memorization Department, Hafiz Al-Jaafari, urged students to apply their knowledge in practical life and warned against negative influences. Student Omar Al-Subaihi, speaking on behalf of his peers, emphasized the importance of the education and training received in strengthening Quranic awareness and promoting a culture of struggle.
