Sanhan: The local authority, the General Mobilization Committee, and the Executive Committee for Summer Activities and Courses in the Sanhan and Bani Bahloul District of Sana'a Governorate organized a closing ceremony for the summer courses and honored outstanding students and teachers.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event highlighted the scientific, educational, and cultural activities and programs offered by the summer courses, which enabled participating students to confront harmful and misguided ideas and cultures that corrupt society. The courses played a crucial role in equipping male and female students with scientific and creative programs that develop their skills and refine their talents, enabling them to confront adversaries and build a safe and stable nation.
The success of the courses was attributed to the efforts of the teachers and those in charge of the summer schools, with the benefits of the activities evident in the students' creative works and contributions. These activities reflected the graduation of a generation armed with knowledge and connected to the Holy Quran and the Quranic revival project. The event also included recitations and poetry performances that showcased the fruits of the program.
Following the event, a protest was held in defense of the Quran and holy sites, in support of Gaza, and in solidarity with Lebanon and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Participants in the protest, attended by notable figures such as the Director of Neighborhood Affairs for the Governorate, Muhammad al-Dawla, the Governor's Advisor, Abdul Rahman al-Siraji, and the Head of the Executive Committee for Summer Activities and Courses in the Directorate, Ahmed Nasser, expressed their condemnation of the repeated insults against the Holy Quran and Islamic holy sites.
The protest emphasized that insulting the Holy Quran, under any pretext or political or media cover, is a moral and humanitarian crime that cannot be accepted or tolerated. A statement issued at the protest clarified that the repeated insults against the Holy Quran reveal the true nature of the enemy and that the Quran is the weapon that will liberate nations if the Ummah returns to it as a guiding principle, conduct, and struggle. The statement warned of the real danger inherent in negligence and complacency, stressing that the continued targeting and insulting of holy sites, amidst the silence of the Ummah, only increases the greed of the enemies and exposes them to divine punishment.
