Al hodeidah: The General Administration of the Red Sea Sector of the Coast Guard Authority organized a cultural and speech event today in Al Hodeidah Governorate to commemorate Wilayah Day.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured First Undersecretary of Al Hodeidah Governorate Ahmed Al-Bishri, who emphasized the importance of commemorating Wilayah Day. He highlighted the significance of drawing lessons and inspiration from the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the concept of Wilayah, which serves as a protection against the influence of arrogant powers and enemies of Islam.

Al-Bishri asserted that adherence to the principle of Wilayah provides a strong fortress for the Yemeni people in facing current challenges and acts as a crucial source of resilience and steadfastness in the face of hegemonic forces. He commended the Coast Guard Authority and the Red Sea Sector for their efforts in organizing such events, which reinforce faith-based identity and strengthen the connection to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and his legacy of struggle and sacrifice.

The event, attended by Governorate Undersecretary for Services Affairs Mohammed Hulaisi and Deputy Director of the Red Sea Sector of the Coast Guard Authority Colonel Ali Al-Shuhaifi, featured a speech by Abdulrahman Al-Warafi, the Governorate's Guidance Sector Official. Al-Warafi addressed the educational and historical dimensions of Wilayah Day, stating that the path of Wilayah continues the divine message and the righteous Muhammadan approach, ensuring the nation's strength and unity against tyrannical forces.

He urged for increased public awareness of the occasion's significance and encouraged continuing to follow Imam Ali's example of sacrifice and dedication in confronting conspiracies targeting the Islamic nation. Haroun Abu Shaa'e, representing the sector, discussed the significance of Ghadir Day and the Prophet's testament at Ghadir Khumm, emphasizing that Wilayah safeguards the nation from division and dependency, guiding it toward dignity and honor.

He also stressed the importance of embodying Imam Ali's morals and values in practical life, particularly among security personnel and those stationed in defense of the homeland and Yemen's coasts.
