Hodeidah: The Scientific Committee of the First Youth Scientific Conference has approved a program for an international symposium, which will take place in mid-June in Hodeidah. This event will discuss the outcomes of the First Youth Scientific Conference, aiming to enhance the role of youth in scientific research and development.
According to Yemen News Agency, the decision was made during a meeting at Hodeidah University, attended by University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal and Chairman of the Youth Development Association Fadhel Al-Dhayani, among others. They reviewed the scientific matrix developed from the conference's outcomes, which includes visions and recommendations to support youth participation in research.
Participants also discussed the framework for the symposium, set for June 15, and its program, including mechanisms for implementing scientific themes and the expected contributions from both local and international entities. Dr. Al-Ahdal highlighted the importance of turning conference outcomes into practical programs that promote youth engagement in scientific fields.
Chairman Al-Dhayani noted that the symposium aims to utilize the conference outcomes by translating them into societal initiatives and youth development programs. He mentioned the committee's efforts in preparing a comprehensive scientific program that addresses challenges faced by young people, while fostering dialogue among researchers and specialists.
The committee scheduled another meeting to finalize preparations and review organizational aspects. The symposium is expected to see participation from over ten countries, with attendees including researchers, academics, and media personnel. Committee members emphasized the need for broad participation to enrich discussions and support youth empowerment.
