Sa'ada:A meeting chaired by Governor Mohammed Awad in Sa'ada governorate focused on the progress of community initiative projects, addressing both ongoing and stalled initiatives and considering solutions to resume incomplete work.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting involved attendance from Sa'ada undersecretaries Mohammed Al-Ba'dani and Mohammed Ka'ibah and reviewed projects backed by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit and the Executive Unit for Financing Agricultural Projects and Initiatives. Discussions centered on resuming work on stalled projects.
The agenda also included outcomes from a recent workshop in Sana'a about the challenges in administrative performance of community projects. Preparedness for potential emergencies resulting from rains, floods, and escalations by the Saudi enemy was also discussed.
A decision was made to form a committee with representatives from relevant units and the governorate's Community Initiatives Department. This committee will conduct field visits to stalled project sites to investigate delays and propose solutions.
Governor Awad stressed the importance of setting clear criteria for funding service and development projects, especially those related to roads, dams, and water barriers. He called for solutions to resume work on specific dams, including Awirah, Al-Samid, Al-Darahim, and Al-Sawsah, and emphasized supporting community initiatives for the Al-Laj and Al-Hayfatin dams and other service projects throughout the governorate.
