Sana’a: Representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Sana’a province, Eng. Osama al-Shami, along with the Director of Bani Matar district, Yahya al-Qanous, inspected the progress of a critical road project on Sunday. The initiative focuses on surveying, expanding, and paving the Martyr Abu Aqil al-Matari Road, a key infrastructure project in the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is being implemented by a community initiative with support from the Interventions Unit. It covers a stretch of 4.2 kilometers and is four meters wide. The project is noteworthy for its adherence to approved standards and specifications, aiming to ensure long-term sustainability and development in the district. Al-Shami emphasized that the Interventions Unit’s backing of these projects aligns with leadership directives to support community-led projects, especially in underserved areas.
Al-Shami urged citizens to initiate projects that enhance services and alleviate community hardships. He reiterated the unit’s commitment to providing necessary support to ensure the success of community initiatives across the province. Meanwhile, the district director, al-Qanous, highlighted the project’s significance, noting that it serves numerous villages and facilitates access to essential services in beneficiary areas.
Additionally, during their visit, al-Shami and al-Qanous reviewed several other projects supported by the Interventions Unit. These projects are part of a broader program aimed at bolstering community initiatives, particularly in the road sector within the district.
