Sana'a: The branch of the Agricultural Cooperative Union in Al-Hodeidah Governorate: completed on Monday the distribution of integrated office furniture to agricultural cooperatives in eight districts, funded by the Agricultural, Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the governorate and supervised by Bonyan Development Foundation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project targeted the districts of Al-Mansuriyah, Al-Durayhimi, Bayt Al-Faqih, Zabid, Al-Khokhah, Al-Mina, Al-Hawk, and Al-Hali. It is part of an institutional capacity-building program aimed at strengthening the capabilities of agricultural cooperatives and improving their administrative efficiency to better serve farmers and develop the agricultural sector in the governorate.
During the distribution, the Deputy Governor for Services Affairs, Mohammed Hulaissi, affirmed that this step comes within the framework of the local leadership's commitment to empowering cooperative work and providing a suitable environment for associations to carry out their role in supporting the agricultural front and achieving sustainable development.
He considered providing cooperatives with furniture and equipment a key pillar for advancing administrative and field work, helping organize efforts and facilitate the delivery of services to farmers in the targeted districts, ultimately contributing to achieving self-sufficiency.
Hulaissi also praised the efforts of Bonyan Development Foundation, the Agricultural, Fisheries Projects Financing Unit, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union in implementing such initiatives that strengthen the resilience of the agricultural sector. He called on the administrative bodies of the cooperatives to preserve these facilities and utilize them to enhance performance and advance cooperative activities.
