Sana'a: The Governorate of Sana'a has completed the necessary arrangements to receive visitors in various tourist areas and dams spread across the districts of the governorate during the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday. Relevant authorities have worked to prepare the natural tourist sites that the governorate is rich in and equip them with available services and facilities to provide a suitable atmosphere for visitors and their families.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Cleaning and Improvement Fund has concluded a comprehensive cleaning campaign to remove waste and eliminate random distortions from streets, neighborhoods, and tourist sites across the districts of the governorate. The Executive Director of the Fund, Engineer Sami Al-Turabi, described the cleanliness of streets, neighborhoods, and tourist areas as a religious and moral responsibility that requires everyone's cooperation. He called on citizens to maintain cleanliness by placing waste in designated bags and locations to ensure the continuity of cleanliness during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Al-Turabi explained that the campaign involved 555 equipment operators, 250 street sweeping workers, and 146 pieces of equipment, including backhoes, shredders, dump trucks, trailers, and loaders. The campaign reflects the governorate leadership's commitment to maintaining cleanliness and highlighting the aesthetic appearance of cities during the Eid holiday, especially with increased activity in markets, parks, recreational areas, and tourist sites.
The Executive Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund indicated that the campaign is accompanied by an environmental awareness program to prevent waste accumulation and ensure its continuous removal, protecting the environment. He also called on citizens and shop owners to actively cooperate to ensure the success of the campaign and support cleaning efforts. Six parks have been prepared in the districts of Sanhan and New Sana'a, including Al-Sinwar, 30 November, Dhafar, Dar Ghalab, Al-Andalus, and Al-Hikma parks.
Yahya Al-Sharif, the tourism sector official, confirmed the completion of all preparations in natural tourist sites, in coordination with relevant authorities and committees. These efforts were preceded by cleaning and awareness campaigns covering tourist landmarks and preparing tourist maps as a guide for visitors.
Engineer Mohammed Ashiyyah, Director of the Public Works Office, stated that engineering and technical teams have intensified their efforts to level and rehabilitate roads leading to tourist sites, facilitating traffic movement. He stressed that public works teams are operating within a unified operations room for continuous monitoring and response to any emergencies during the Eid holiday.
Dr. Khaled Al-Muntasir, Director of the Health Office, explained that the office has deployed fully equipped medical teams in various tourist sites, with each team including an ambulance, a driver, a nurse, and a team leader. The medical teams are equipped to respond immediately to any emergency cases.
Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Ataki, Director of the Traffic Department, confirmed the deployment of traffic personnel across all sites and access roads to regulate vehicle movement for visitors and travelers. Meanwhile, Colonel Mohammed Jaafar, Director of the Civil Defense branch, stated that rescue teams and divers have been assigned to respond to any emergencies or drowning incidents. He urged citizens and visitors to exercise caution and adhere to guidance instructions to protect lives.
