Sana'a: The Prophet's Birthday Football Tournament concluded on Saturday in Nihm District, Sana'a Governorate. The event was organized by the Youth and Sports Office and the Youth Unit of the Mobilization, in celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the 12-day tournament was supervised by the Governorate's Youth and Sports Office and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Youth Welfare Fund. It featured eight teams in the youth category.
In the final match, held at Imam Zaid Center Stadium, the Prophet's Birthday team faced Al-Sadiq Al-Amin team. After a goalless draw in regular time, the Prophet's Birthday team won the match in a penalty shootout, securing the championship trophy.
The closing ceremony was attended by the district's Director of Youth and Sports, Naif Al-Faraji, and Activities Officer Hani Ja'rah. The Prophet's Birthday team was awarded the championship cup and gold medals, while Al-Sadiq Al-Amin team received silver medals.
