Conclusion of Training Course on Volunteer Work and Community Initiatives in Taiz

Taiz: A training course for the University Pioneer Program - 'Development Knights' concluded on Thursday in Taiz Governorate, covering the fundamentals of volunteer work, developmental resources, and community initiatives.

According to Yemen News Agency, the ten-day course was organized by the Bonyan Development Foundation and funded by the local authority through the Unit for Financing Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives. The program was coordinated with the Governorate's Mobilization Office and the University Student Forum, training 65 participants from various districts. It aimed to equip them with basic volunteer work skills and instill principles of active community participation.

The training focused on enhancing the trainees' abilities in community mobilization, implementing initiatives, and identifying local resources to convert challenges into development opportunities. It also emphasized skills in analyzing developmental issues and directing them toward sustainable solutions. Participants gained expertise in promoting local production, supporting a resilient community-based economy, encouraging reverse migration, and creating resource opportunity maps within the frameworks of associations, agricultural research and guidance, animal health, and community planning.

At the conclusion of the course, Deputy Governor for Development Affairs, Abdulwasi' Al-Shamsi, highlighted that achieving self-sufficiency in production is a key pillar of strength necessary to build a nation capable of facing challenges in all fields. He stressed the local authority's commitment to supporting such specialized training courses and qualifying trainees from all districts, sub-districts, and villages in the governorate, thereby contributing to agricultural development and fostering a transformative local development shift.

Al-Shamsi emphasized the importance of training and developing human resources as a fundamental pillar of development in any country and underscored the need to strengthen food security, noting that the agricultural front is as critical as the military front. During the closing ceremony, attended by the Governorate Mobilization Officer Muhammad Al-Khalidi, Social Unit Head Hames Al-Habbari, Agricultural Sector Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, and Director of the Unit for Financing Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Hussein Al-Rashidi, a graduation speech delivered by Muhammad Amer emphasized the importance of training in refining specialized skills, enhancing performance levels, and supporting efforts to advance the agricultural sector and its role in food security.
