Sana'a: Major General Dr. Bakil al-Barashi, Director General of Traffic Police, has directed the Traffic Department of the Capital Sana'a to take legal action against individuals posing as tax collection agents who have been illegally collecting money from bus owners, in violation of the presidential decree.
According to Yemen News Agency, the directive calls for an immediate investigation into the reported violations, arrest of the offenders, prevention of further infractions, and establishment of regulations to ensure tax collection follows agreed-upon guidelines.
Al-Barashi emphasized that the Traffic Police will not tolerate any violations that infringe on citizens' rights or breach laws, and instructed that the results of measures taken be submitted within a week.
He reaffirmed the department's commitment to law enforcement, road safety, and transparent regulatory procedures, urging officers to report documented violations.
