Al-hudaydah: The activities of the popular and oratorical festival commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah (Day of Guardianship) for the year 1447 AH concluded in the Capital Secretariat, under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master."

According to Yemen News Agency, the festival activities were organized by the Cultural Department and the General Mobilization of Al-Sab'een district in the Capital Secretariat and attended by local and community leaders and social figures. At the conclusion of the festival, the head of the Cultural Department, Hussein Al-Jabin, emphasized the importance of commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah and its significance to the Yemeni people. He noted that the occasion serves as a faith-based milestone to recall the values and principles established by the Greatest Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), embodying the meanings of guardianship (wilayah) based on truth, justice, and guidance.

Hussein Al-Jabin highlighted that Yemenis commemorate Yawm al-Wilayah generation after generation, driven by their awareness of the significant faith-based and value-laden meanings of this anniversary. He pointed out that Ghadir Day represents a pivotal occasion in Islamic history.

He called for broad participation on Thursday morning in various squares of the province to commemorate the Day of the Guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

Meanwhile, the festival supervisor, Mohammed Al-Hadi, emphasized that commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah embodies a state of popular joy and readiness to honor the occasion in a manner befitting its religious and historical status. He highlighted the significance of this commemoration for Yemenis, referencing the biography of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), his stances in confronting Jews, Christians, and oppressors, his support for truth and religion, and the stances of Yemenis today in confronting the forces of global arrogance and supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance.
