Sana'a: A meeting was held bringing together the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, and the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hadi Ammar, to discuss mechanisms for enhancing coordination and cooperation to support and develop joint programs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed ways to build an effective institutional partnership and coordinate efforts in awareness and training fields to strengthen tax and customs awareness and consolidate a culture of compliance with laws and regulations, as well as benefiting from academic and research capabilities to support institutional development paths.
Dr. Mahdi emphasized the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, as a key partner in preparing national cadres and spreading community awareness. He pointed to the Authority's interest in strengthening partnerships with various government entities to serve the public interest and raise the efficiency of institutional performance.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Ammar, affirmed the Ministry's commitment to enhancing cooperation with the Tax and Customs Authority, to achieve integration between government institutions and contribute to implementing joint programs that serve development and capacity building. He praised the efforts made by the Authority in developing the tax and customs work system.
The two sides agreed to continue coordination during the next phase, and to develop implementation mechanisms to translate cooperation areas into practical programs and initiatives that achieve shared goals and enhance institutional integration.
