Dhamar: A mass protest was held in Dhamar city on Monday evening to condemn the Saudi-led attack on Sana'a International Airport. Participants chanted slogans denouncing the strike, describing it as a crime aimed at obstructing the arrival of a civilian aircraft carrying patients, stranded people, and travelers, as part of continued efforts to maintain the blockade on the airport.
According to Yemen News Agency, the protesters announced general mobilization and readiness to confront the blockade, defend Yemen's sovereignty and independence, and reaffirmed their mandate to the revolution leader to take appropriate measures in response to the attack. A statement issued by the rally said the targeting of Sana'a Airport was a new crime added to the record of violations against the Yemeni people and a clear breach of international laws and norms.
The statement held Saudi Arabia fully responsible for the humanitarian consequences of targeting civilian facilities and the ongoing blockade, while expressing appreciation to Iran for sending a plane to help break the restrictions imposed on Sana'a Airport. It said the attack came in line with US efforts to maintain the blockade on Yemen and increase the suffering of its people, adding that it reflected what it described as hostility by Saudi Arabia and the United States toward Yemen.
The statement reiterated support for the armed forces and authorized leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to take appropriate measures in response, rejecting attempts to impose external control and stressing readiness to continue efforts to end the blockade, what it described as aggression and occupation.
