Taiz: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance in Taiz Governorate organized a cultural and oratorical evening on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr and the martyrdom of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib. The event was held at the historic al-Janad Mosque under the supervision of the local authority and General Mobilization.

According to Yemen News Agency, Ansarullah Political Bureau member Dhaifullah al-Shami highlighted that the Battle of Badr remains a unique historical model of patience and faith. He noted that the battle, which took place on the 17th of Ramadan in the second year of the Hijra, served as a "decisive turning point" (Day of al-Furqan) that shifted the Islamic mission from a stage of weakness to one of empowerment.

Al-Shami reviewed the life of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, emphasizing his role as a symbol of jihad, wisdom, and justice. He spoke on the Imam's profound relationship with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his status as a pillar of the Islamic nation who embodied courage and asceticism.

The speakers underscored the importance of reconnecting with Islamic history to confront modern challenges posed by "global arrogance" (the U.S. and Israel).

The evening concluded with a call to return to the Quranic path and the teachings of the Prophet's Household (Ahl al-Bayt) to safeguard the nation's identity and dignity.
