Sana'a: Residents of the Al-Muqar and Soufan neighborhoods in the Northern Hasbah area of Al-Thawrah District in the Capital Secretariat organized a cultural evening on Wednesday to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Shura Council members Yahya Al-Mahdi and Darhim Al-Zaakari, the Head of the Planning Committee of the Local Council in the Capital, Sharaf Al-Hadi, and the Deputy Secretary of the Capital Secretariat, Hussein Al-Murtani.
Sheikh Saleh Al-Kholani, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is an affirmation of faith. He noted that all Yemenis, young and old, hold events and evenings to honor the birth of the best of creation, the noble Prophet Muhammad - may God's blessings and peace be upon him and his family - renewing their loyalty and connection to him and following his righteous path.
Al-Kholani also pointed out that celebrating the Prophet's birthday in Yemen is a source of irritation for Jews, Christians, and hypocrites, urging people to draw lessons from the life and biography of the Prophet and to follow his guidance in all aspects of life.
Meanwhile, Saleh Al-Qutbi delivered a speech on behalf of the neighborhoods' residents, affirming the community's commitment to commemorating the Prophet's birthday and drawing inspiration from the light of the best of creation by studying his noble biography and embodying his great moral and ethical values.
