Sana'a: Yemen's Grand Mifti and Head of the Association of Yemeni Scholars Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din on Wednesday stressed the responsibility of scholars to speak the truth and make clear their stance on Gaza while mobilizing for the commemoration of the Prophet's birth. In his address to the annual scholars' conference in Sana'a, al-Din said the greatest statement is 'the word of truth against the enemies of God, His Messenger, humanity, and Islam,' urging scholars not to remain silent on the massacres, blockade, and destruction in Gaza.

According to Yemen News Agency, al-Din emphasized that true obedience to God does not lie in following corrupt rulers but in siding with the oppressed and confronting injustice. Mifti praised the position of the Revolution's Leader, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, in supporting Gaza, and lauded Yemenis for their weekly mass rallies in solidarity with Palestine.

He described the conference as an opportunity to reaffirm Yemen's principled stance with Gaza and to confront narratives that seek to weaken the Islamic nation.
