Meeting in Abs Discusses Preparations for Celebrating Prophet’s Birthday

Hajjah: A meeting was held in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate, chaired by Governor Hilal Al-Soufi, to discuss organizational arrangements and community participation in the events marking the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday, 1447 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the governor's deputies Nabil Al-Jarib and Abdulkarim Khammousi, along with several local, social, and awareness figures from the Shafar and Bani Thawab tribes. The emphasis was placed on the importance of broad and honorable participation in the preparatory activities, reflecting the profound respect and love Yemenis hold for the Prophet.

Attendees stressed that the Prophet's birthday represents a spiritual milestone, reinforcing adherence to his teachings and embodying loyalty to the Messenger of Mercy. It is also seen as an occasion to renew the commitment to resilience and steadfastness in confronting aggressors and championing the causes of the Muslim Ummah, foremost among them the Al-Aqsa Mosque and supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The meeting also highlighted the significance of celebrating this occasion with joy and happiness, recalling the Prophet's noble biography and timeless stances, and following his example in sacrifice, justice, and courage against tyranny.

Governor Al-Soufi noted the distinctive hospitality and enthusiasm of the people of Tihamah in commemorating the Prophet's birthday, as well as their patriotic stances in facing aggression and sending martyrdom caravans in defense of their land and honor.

He stressed that this year's celebration should be exceptional in both form and substance, reflecting the deep connection with the Prophet, sincere commitment to his eternal message, and the determination of the descendants of the Ansar to follow his path in all aspects of life, especially in supporting the oppressed.
