Taiz: The Educational Sector in Taiz Governorate held a cultural evening commemorating the fourth anniversary of the passing of Mujahid Abdulkhaleq Mohammed Saleh Al-Sarari, former Director of the Education Office in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the evening, attended by the Governor's Deputies, Nu'man Al-Hamri and Mohammed Al-Husseini, along with General Mobilization Officials Mohammed Al-Khalidi and Educational Sector Official Abduljalil Al-Samai, featured a speech by Abdulilah Al-Junaid from the local authority. The speech highlighted that recalling the biography of the late Al-Sarari serves as an educational and faith-based milestone.
Al-Junaid emphasized the deceased's contributions, noting the opening of approximately 600 schools despite challenging circumstances and direct targeting that Yemen faced, which impacted educational institutions. He affirmed Al-Sarari's steadfastness and sincerity as a model of resilience and giving.
The commemoration aims to enhance the spirit of responsibility and continue the educational project to which Al-Sarari dedicated his life. Al-Junaid called for attention to summer centers and the spread of Quranic awareness among the youth.
Abdulrahman Al-Junaid, Director of the Supervision Department in the Educational Sector, highlighted the importance of drawing inspiration from the values embodied by Al-Sarari and preparing for the opening of summer centers. This preparation is crucial to ensure the development of educational cadres capable of fortifying the younger generation and building a conscious generation adhering to its identity and values.
The evening, which was attended by district directors, social and scholarly figures, pioneers of the educational and cultural front, as well as military, security, and mobilization leaders, included poetic segments, a religious hymn, and a report on the biography of the deceased.
