Ibb: Ibb Governorate held cultural evenings and celebratory events on Friday to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth. In Al-Dhihar District, residents of Al-Sabahi neighborhood organized an evening during which Yahya Al-Qasimi, director of the governorate's Grievances Redress Authority branch, said the occasion represents a spiritual opportunity to recall the Prophet's noble life and renew commitment to his message.
According to Yemen News Agency, the celebrations reflect values of mercy, justice, and solidarity, calling for the occasion to inspire greater community responsibility. Yahya Al-Qasimi also praised the Yemeni armed forces' military operations against enemy mobilizations, stressing that Yemeni unity had thwarted the adversaries' expectations.
Sheikh Akram Al-Sabahi emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birth embodies following his noble character and values, stressing the importance of raising awareness and preparedness in confronting escalation and the siege. He affirmed Ibb residents' readiness to contribute to defending the homeland and called for broad participation in the central event on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
The evening featured poetry, chants, theatrical performances, traditional folk arts, and fireworks, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Similar events were held in several districts, including Yarim for the Transport and Public Works offices, Hubaysh for the health sector, Jiblah for the educational sector, Al-Makhadir at the Martyr Ali Hajar Complex, and social events in Jiblah, Al-Nadirah, Mudhaykhirah, Al-Qafr, and Al-Sha'ir.
Speakers reviewed aspects of the Prophet's life and the significance of commemorating his birth in strengthening religious identity and social unity. They emphasized that the occasion provides an opportunity to renew attachment to the Prophet and draw inspiration from values of patience, dignity, and honor, noting that the strength of communities lies in their unity and adherence to their principles and Islamic identity.
They called on residents of the governorate to participate widely in accompanying activities and the central celebration, reflecting the importance of the occasion to Yemenis.
