Sana'a: The education sector in Arhab District, Sana'a Province, organized a cultural event on Wednesday to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The event took place at Qadat Al-Quds School and was led by the head of the education sector in the province, Talib Dahan. Dahan expressed that commemorating the Prophet's birth is an expression of gratitude to God for this significant blessing. He reminded attendees that the Yemenis' tradition of celebrating this occasion dates back to their ancestors from the Aws and Khazraj tribes, who welcomed the Prophet upon his migration to Medina.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dahan highlighted the resilient attitudes of the Yemeni people, who continue to exemplify dignity, pride, and support for the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza amidst the ongoing aggression and genocide. Deputy Head of Mobilization in the district, Abdullah Al-Qoud, emphasized that marking this religious occasion is an act of obedience to God and reinforces the bond with the Prophet and adherence to his teachings and morals.
School principal Abdul Basit Al-Arshani pointed out that the youth are the generation of victory and the builders of nations, stressing the importance of celebrating this occasion for the strength and dignity of the Islamic nation. The event, attended by the district's education officer Abdul Jaleel Awad and several social figures, included poetry recitations and performances by students.
In the Sahman area of Al-Tiyal District, during an evening gathering, Dahan reaffirmed that community participation in these celebrations signifies unity and the Yemenis' commitment to supporting the causes of the Islamic nation, particularly the Palestinian cause. In the presence of local mobilization official Hussein Abu Hashim, he called for active participation in preparatory events and urged mass turnout at the central celebration scheduled for the 12th of Rabi' Al-Awwal.
