Cultural Events Held in Hajjah to Honor Allamah Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi’s Legacy

Hajjah: Cultural events and seminars were held in the districts of Najrah, Aflah Al-Yaman, and Mustaba in Hajjah Governorate to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of the esteemed scholar and mujahid, Sayyid Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi.

According to Yemen News Agency, speeches and presentations delivered during the events in Al-Sha'athimah (Najrah), Jiyah and Bani Yous (Aflah Al-Yaman), and Wadi Al-Hadiya (Mustaba) highlighted Al-Houthi's efforts to unite the Muslim nation and raise awareness of the dangers of Wahhabi ideology, its role in causing division, weakness, and fragmentation.

The events also underscored his contribution to educating and guiding generations according to the values and principles of Islam, based on the Holy Quran and authentic Prophetic traditions.

Participants reviewed the virtues and qualities of Allamah Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, emphasizing his role in reviving Islamic scholarship, clarifying religious concepts, confronting deviant ideas, and correcting misconceptions through his numerous writings, lessons, and lectures.

Speakers described him as a beacon of knowledge and genuine intellectual awakening who dedicated his life to supporting Islam. They noted that his scholarship laid the foundation for the Quranic project later advanced by his son, the martyred leader Sayyid Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi.

The speeches affirmed that the late scholar was one of the nation's prominent figures who worked to enlighten society, combat alien and misguided ideas, and oppose extremist takfiri projects.

Participants considered the commemoration an important educational occasion to reflect on the lessons and legacy of Allamah Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, describing him as a comprehensive school of faith, knowledge, generosity, awareness, and dedication that continues to inspire future generations.
