Sana'a: The General Mobilization offices in the districts of Maeen, Al-Safiyah, and Bani Al-Harith in the capital Sana'a organized cultural events on Wednesday commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali, and in support of the statement issued by the Armed Forces.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events, held in several neighborhoods across the districts, featured speeches and lectures highlighting aspects of Imam Zaid's life, achievements, struggle, and virtues, as well as the lessons and messages drawn from his revolution and its objectives.
The speakers emphasized Imam Zaid's strong connection to the Holy Quran, which they said was the foundation of his movement and revolution, and highlighted the sacrifices he made in the pursuit of reforming the nation's conditions, correcting misconceptions, and addressing distorted cultures.
The lectures also addressed the difficult situation facing the nation and the aims of Imam Zaid's revolution in raising awareness and breaking what they described as a state of stagnation and submission imposed by tyrants and arrogant powers. They described Imam Zaid as a model for revolutionaries and a voice of freedom for the nation in confronting aggression and domination.
The participants called on everyone to recognize their responsibility toward the nation's causes and to follow Imam Zaid's approach, values, movement, and struggle in the path of Allah, stressing the importance of commemorating the occasion to draw lessons of steadfastness, commitment, and sacrifice until achieving victory.
