Sana'a: in collaboration with the governorate's General Mobilization Department, hosted a cultural symposium titled "Imam Zaid's Revolution: A Reform Project and a Model of Sacrifice and Devotion to the Faith."
According to Yemen News Agency, the symposium began with Abdul-Fattah Ghallab, an official from the governorate's Mobilization Department, outlining the significance of Imam Zaid's revolution. He highlighted its role in confronting injustice and advocating for reform, portraying it as a historical milestone that has inspired generations with values of patience, steadfastness, and sacrifice.
Ghallab stressed the importance of learning from Imam Zayd's life to reinforce societal awareness and encourage adherence to religious and national identity, contributing to the development of a generation equipped to tackle contemporary challenges.
Dr. Fouad Hassan, Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, discussed the key lessons from Imam Zayd's revolution and its influence on promoting reform and addressing societal deviations. He emphasized that understanding history enables individuals to comprehend the present and draw inspiration from historical values.
Dr. Al-Azzi Al-Aqab, Assistant Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, examined the factors that led to Imam Zayd's uprising and its implications for justice, freedom, and responsibility. He underscored the importance of learning from historical experiences to enhance awareness among future generations.
The seminar, led by Dr. Ahmed Abu Lahoum, Vice President for Student Affairs, concluded with recommendations that highlighted the necessity of adhering to the values exemplified by national leaders. Enhancing cultural and intellectual awareness among youth was emphasized as crucial for protecting society from negative influences and deception.
The recommendations also called for unwavering commitment to religious and national principles, which fortify societal unity and equip it to confront various challenges.
