Taiz: Several districts in Taiz province held cultural gatherings on Saturday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, the gatherings took place in Wadi Arish, Al-Jadhima, and Al-Rashid neighborhoods in Salah District; in Al-Salmi area in the Al-Zaylai, Musawwar, Al-Haqiba, Warazan, Al-Hawl squares, in Al-Badu area in Al-Rahda, and Al-Ruhaiba squares in Khadir District; as well as in Al-Akrouf area in Sharab Al-Salam District. The Western Security Area in Al-Barh, Maqbanah District, also hosted a cultural gathering.
Speakers at these events highlighted the significance of the occasion, emphasizing its importance in strengthening the connection with the Prophet and adhering to his noble example and teachings. They encouraged attendees to draw inspiration from the values of patience, sacrifice, and steadfastness that the Prophet embodied while conveying the message of Islam.
The speakers stressed that the commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday is not just an annual event, but an opportunity for spiritual and educational renewal. It is a time to reaffirm commitment to the Prophet, promote Islamic values in society, and strengthen a shared faith-based identity.
Furthermore, the speakers pointed out that the widespread public participation in Mawlid activities reflects the deep love Yemenis have for the Prophet and their dedication to his example. This participation contributes to social cohesion, brotherhood, and solidarity among the community.
They called for extensive involvement in various activities and events, urging mobilization for the central celebration scheduled on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of making Mawlid programs platforms for awareness-building and drawing practical lessons from the Prophet's life to promote justice, benevolence, sincerity, and community service.
