Sanaa: The Dar Al-Ifta in the Republic of Yemen announced that tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, 2026, completes the month of Ramadan, and that the first day of Eid al-Fitr is Friday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the statement from Dar Al-Ifta highlighted that the committee responsible for sighting the crescent of Shawwal conducted their observation on Wednesday, the 29th of Ramadan, corresponding to March 18, 2026. The crescent was not sighted, leading to the decision that Thursday, March 19, would be the 30th and final day of Ramadan, with Eid al-Fitr commencing on Friday, March 20, 2026.
The statement included expressions of congratulations to the Yemeni people and leadership, extending warm wishes to the entire Muslim community. The Dar Al-Ifta also offered prayers for the acceptance of fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and for the alleviation of suffering in regions such as Gaza, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq. The message concluded with prayers for the protection and empowerment of Muslims worldwide.
