Sana'a: The Electricity Corporation branch in Al-Saddah District, Ibb Governorate, received a 500-kilowatt generator from the Public Electricity Corporation to operate Al-Saddah Power Station. The generator's delivery is part of ongoing local authority efforts to rehabilitate and upgrade the station, following directives from Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Adel Bader and Director General of the Public Electricity Corporation Dr. Mishaal Al-Raifi.
According to Yemen News Agency, the handover was marked by the presence of District Director Mohammed Al-Darwani and Engineer Waleed Abu Al-Saud, Director of the Electricity Area in Yarim. They highlighted the generator's critical role in enhancing the station's capacity to address power shortages caused by the current lack of electricity services. The new generator is expected to meet the needs of 4,000 subscribers in the district, improve electricity services, and alleviate the challenges faced by citizens due to power shortages.
