Dept. of Gifted Schools Launches Entrance Exams for 1448 Academic Year

Sana'a: The Department of Gifted Schools at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research initiated entrance and placement examinations on Saturday for the 1448 AH academic year. A total of 2,070 students are vying for 600 available seats at five gifted secondary schools. This includes 200 spots at Abdulnasser Secondary School for Gifted Boys in the capital Sana'a, and 100 seats each at al-Sammad Secondary Schools located in Sana'a, Ibb, and Hodeida, as well as Taha al-Madani Secondary School in Hajjah.

According to Yemen News Agency, applicants will be evaluated based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including mathematics (25%), Arabic (25%), science (20%), English (10%), an intelligence test (10%), and their ninth-grade average (10%). Officials emphasized that the examinations are being conducted under strict procedures aimed at ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the selection process.
