Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Inspects Hodeida Sports City Facilities

Hodeida: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabeh Nasser inspected the current condition of the old sports city facilities in the Hodeida province on Wednesday, as part of the ministry's efforts to assess the sports infrastructure and explore ways to rehabilitate and develop it.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister was accompanied by Marwan Abduldaim, Regional Director of the Hayel Saeed Anam Group of Companies in Hodeida. They reviewed the needs related to the indoor sports hall and its associated facilities, ensuring its return to its leading role in hosting various youth and sports activities and events.

They listened to a presentation from the Ministry's Projects Director, Engineer Ahmed al-Tuwaiti, and the Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate, Emad al-Barai. The presentation focused on the required interventions, priorities for restoration and maintenance work, and proposed plans to rehabilitate the sports hall to contribute to revitalizing sports in the governorate.

Following the inspection tour, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and the Regional Director of the Hayel Saeed Anam Group. The meeting focused on discussing the mechanisms for implementing the necessary maintenance work on the sports hall and coordinating joint efforts to provide the technical and construction requirements for the renovation process according to the required specifications.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the Ministry is giving significant attention to improving the efficiency of sports facilities in Al Hudaydah Governorate, given the governorate's human resources and promising talents in various sports. He highlighted the importance of expanding partnerships with the private sector, particularly the Hayel Saeed Group, to contribute to supporting sports and service projects and achieving a qualitative leap in the level of sports facilities in the governorate.
