Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabeeh Nasser honored the champions of the Governorates' Karate Championship for the men's team kumite category. The event was organized by the Karate Federation under the ministry's patronage and funded by the Youth Welfare Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, six governorates took part in the tournament held from December 9-12. These included the Capital Secretariat, Sana'a, Hodeidah, Ibb, Dhamar, and Mahwit. During the ceremony, Nasser highlighted the importance of expanding tournament hosting to more governorates to enhance the sport's reach.
The ceremony included group demonstrations, along with the presentation of cups, medals, and cash prizes. The Capital Secretariat secured first place, followed by Sana'a in second, and Ibb in third.
