Dhamar Inaugurates Kidney Dialysis Center at Al-Sharq City Hospital

Dhamar: Dhamar Governorate Undersecretary Hilal Al-Maqdad and Jabal Al-Sharq District Director Mohsen Shaqdam inaugurated the kidney dialysis center at Al-Sharq City Government Hospital. The center, equipped with six beds and dialysis machines, was established at a cost of 100 million Yemeni riyals, funded through a community initiative with support from the Ministry of Health and Environment.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Maqdad expressed that the launch of the dialysis center is a significant development in reducing the necessity for kidney failure patients to travel to other governorates for treatment. This development comes as a relief amid the challenging conditions facing the region. He acknowledged the contributions of various individuals and groups who played a role in the establishment of the center.

District Director Shaqdam highlighted that enhancing and updating healthcare services is a key focus for the local authority. He emphasized the contribution of businessmen and philanthropists in assisting official efforts to provide additional machines and cater to increasing demands.

Meanwhile, Dr. Yassin Al-Nidham, Director of the Health Office branch, stated that the center's rehabilitation was the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Health, local offices, the local authority, the hospital administration, and community benefactors.

Hospital Director Dr. Mohammed Jahwan mentioned that the center is equipped with advanced medical devices and is managed by qualified medical personnel. He stressed the importance of ongoing support to maintain its free services for patients and to facilitate the acquisition of more dialysis machines.
