Sana'a: On this day, May 21, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression aircraft and their mercenaries launched dozens of raids on villages, cities, and fishermen's boats, committing war crimes against the Yemeni people.
According to Yemen News Agency, on May 21, 2015, 25 citizens were martyred due to raids by the aggression aircraft targeting travelers in Bart district in Al-Jawf governorate. Five Somali refugees lost their lives, and two were wounded in a raid on a UNICEF refugee center in Midi district, Hajjah governorate. Simultaneously, six citizens, including a woman, were martyred in Kuhlan Affar district as aggression aircraft targeted a vehicle.
Moreover, the aggression aircraft conducted several raids on Haran, Dhamar Al-Qarn, Sama camp, and Dhamar University, resulting in no fewer than 20 people martyred and 20 others, including women and children, injured, along with the destruction of houses. In Saada governorate, dozens, including children and women, were martyred and injured following two raids on a bridge at Al-Talh Sahar junction road, and a raid on Al-Zahra School in Dhahyan.
The Saudi army intensified its assault on Al-Hasama, Ka'shar, Al-Malahidh, and Al-Manzala in Al-Dhahir district with 65 missiles. The aggression aircraft targeted Taiz city, including historic Cairo Castle and Sheikh Zayed Park in Mount Sabr, causing widespread destruction. Additionally, five raids on a vocational institute in the Capital Secretariat's Jadar area led to its destruction, while more than ten raids targeted the 26th Guard Brigade in Al-Sawadiyah district in Al-Bayda governorate.
In subsequent years, the aggression continued with persistent attacks. On May 21, 2016, incendiary bombs were dropped in Hajjah governorate's Al-Mazraq area, and numerous raids were carried out across multiple districts, causing substantial damage to infrastructure and civilian properties. On May 21, 2017, aggression aircraft targeted several districts in Sana'a, Saada, Taiz, and Hajjah governorates, leading to multiple casualties and significant damage to civilian homes and properties.
May 21, 2018, witnessed aggression aircraft attacking fisherman near Al-Turfa Island off Hodeida governorate and launching multiple raids in Saada, Hajjah, and Taiz governorates, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The pattern of aggression continued in 2019, with artillery shelling and air raids across Hodeida, Saada, and other governorates, causing casualties and destruction.
The cycle of violence persisted with May 21, 2020, seeing more raids and artillery shelling in Al-Jawf, Marib, and Saada governorates, and the creation of combat fortifications by mercenaries in Hodeida. On May 21, 2021, aerial bombardments in Marib and Saada led to the martyrdom of citizens and damaged properties.
In 2022, aggression mercenaries established fortifications and conducted artillery shelling across multiple governorates, impacting civilian areas and causing further distress. By May 21, 2023, the remnants of aggression ordnance continued to claim lives, with incidents reported in Sana'a and Al-Jawf governorates.
On May 21, 2024, another casualty was reported in Hodeida governorate due to the explosion of aggression ordnance remnants, marking yet another somber anniversary of ongoing conflict and suffering for the Yemeni people.
