Sana'a: Official and tribal efforts have successfully resolved a year-old murder case between the Al Abu Shaye' family of Dhamar Governorate and the Al-Azani family from Al-Bayda Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the resolution was announced during a tribal gathering attended by prominent figures including Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris, Dhamar General Mobilization official Ahmed Al-Dhorani, security chiefs Brig. Gen. Ahmed Al-Sharafi and Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al-Mahdi, and Hadah District Director Fadl Al-Harbi. Tribal sheikhs and dignitaries from both governorates were also present. Sheikh Sultan Makhbout Abu Shaye', speaking on behalf of the victim's family, declared the pardon of Yasser Abdulghani Salem Al-Azani, the perpetrator from Al-Sawma'a District in Al-Bayda, for the sake of Allah and in honor of those gathered.
Governor Idris expressed appreciation for the victim's family and the Al Abu Shaye' family for their act of pardon, acknowledging the contributions of tribal leaders and others involved in resolving the dispute. He emphasized that this gesture showcases the values inherent to the people of Hadah District and the positive aspects of Yemeni tribal traditions.
Al-Dhorani commended the victim's family for opting for forgiveness and reconciliation, indicating that the pardon represents efforts to end revenge cases and disputes, thereby enhancing security and social stability. He encouraged other families to emulate the Al Abu Shaye' family's example by working towards conflict resolution and unity.
The attendees lauded the victim's family's decision, seeing it as a testament to the tolerance and authentic values of Yemeni tribal society.
