Discussion of Action Plan of Joint Coordination Committee Between Sanaa and Chamber of Commerce

Sanaa: A meeting at the Capital today, chaired by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Amin Jumman, discussed the action plan of the main joint coordination committee between the Secretariat and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Head of the Planning and Finance Committee, Sharaf Al-Hadi, the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Adel Al-Khawlani, and committee members from the Secretariat and the Chamber. They reviewed the problems facing the private sector and prepared a report on these issues to be submitted to the committee.

The meeting also addressed the regulations prepared by the main committee members concerning the organization of joint work mechanisms between the Capital Secretariat and the Chamber of Commerce. The regulations were reviewed, some provisions were amended, and subsequently approved.

Several decisions were made during the meeting, including scheduling the next meeting with the sub-committees, which will include district directors and executive offices in the Capital Secretariat. Additionally, preparations for a monitoring and operations room were discussed to improve complaint handling, data verification, and accuracy assurance.

During the meeting, Jumman emphasized the importance of the committee assuming its responsibilities and working collaboratively to address problems and irregularities. He advocated for enhanced cooperation and partnership between the public and private sectors.

Jumman also urged all parties involved to take responsibility for serving the nation and its citizens, overcoming challenges, and addressing the negative impacts of aggression and blockades on the economic situation.
