Sana'a: A meeting was held on Saturday in Sana'a, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, to discuss procedures for completing the integration of the Migration and Labor Organization sector from the former Ministry of Expatriates Affairs into the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Labor Force Sector, Ramah Heba, and the Head of the Technical Committee for implementing the merger, Tareq Al-Buraq. The focus was on the executive mechanism for integrating the sector and transferring assets, documents, and personnel records of employees from the Migration and Overseas Labor Organization sector.
During the meeting, Al-Hamli emphasized the need to facilitate procedures related to expatriates' transactions. He noted that addressing their issues helps protect their rights both inside and outside the country, encourages them to invest domestically, and provides them with the necessary facilitations.
He also highlighted the attention given by the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din Al-Houthi, to expatriates abroad. Their vital role in supporting the national economy, contributing to investment activity, and backing community initiatives was acknowledged as a significant factor in the discussions.
