Discussion on Joint Work Aspects Between Land Authority Branch & Public Works Office in Sana’a

Sana'a: A meeting chaired on Wednesday by the Deputy Governor of Sana'a Governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Saleh Al-Muntasir, discussed aspects of joint work between the branch of the General Authority for Lands and the Public Works Office in the governorate. According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the Director of the General Authority for Lands branch, Eng. Yahya Al-Shami, and the Director of the Public Works Office, Eng. Mohammed Ashiya, reviewed the issue of urban plans in the southern Hazaiz area. It approved preventing any new developments there to enable the Land Authority to find appropriate solutions and update the plans due to the increasing population density in the area. The meeting also approved addressing the presidency of the General Authority for Lands on the need to update the plans of the Dar Al-Haid area in Old Sanhan District and integrate them into the new plans in accordance with global coordinates and apply them on the ground. Participants also discussed the p ossibility of designating land for a cemetery within state property in Neighborhood Unit 472 in Bani Matar District, assigning the Land Authority branch to conduct a field visit and prepare a study based on the area's needs. The meeting further addressed violations along the regional road linking the governorates of Amran, Sana'a, and extending to Aden, which passes through the districts of Hamdan, Bani Matar, and Sanhan. It emphasized obligating Public Works branches in the districts to protect the road from any encroachments and recommended that the Planning Sector take the road into consideration when preparing both old and new urban plans.
