Discussion on Progress of International Accreditation Project for Faculty of Medicine at Sana’a University

Sana'a: A meeting was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana'a University, chaired by the University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukheiti, to discuss the progress level in the project for meeting the requirements of international academic accreditation (WFME).

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed reports submitted by technical committees and academic departments regarding accreditation requirements, along with proposed recommendations to complete technical and administrative aspects according to international standards.

The University President emphasized the commitment to proceed with implementing academic development plans and fulfilling internationally recognized quality standards, noting that the university leadership gives special attention to the Faculty of Medicine as it represents the primary front for medical education in Yemen.

Dr. Al-Bukheiti pointed out the university's dedication to providing all necessary support to ensure the success of the Faculty of Medicine's efforts in obtaining international academic accreditation, working in integration and coordination with the Dean's Office and relevant committees to achieve this goal.

The University President appreciated the efforts made by the Dean's Office, quality committees, and academic teams, directing to accelerate the pace of qualification and modernization work in educational and service facilities, and to complete the equipping of laboratories and the pathological museum according to international accreditation requirements.

For their part, the Dean of the Faculty Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahari and the national expert Dr. Saleh Bahaj reviewed the practical steps accomplished towards meeting quality standards, affirming that cooperation and strategic partnership contribute to elevating the level of medical education in Yemen to the highest international standards.
