Qa'tabah: A meeting in Qa'tabah District in Al-Dhale Governorate today, chaired by the Acting Governor Abdullatif Al-Shaghadi, discussed the district's needs for service and development projects.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Brigadier General Saleh Hajib, reviewed agricultural sector projects, the mechanism for maintaining dams, barriers, and water breakwaters, and the needs of Jabal Al-Hasha' for community initiative projects in the agricultural field and ways to support them.
In the meeting, Al-Shaghadi affirmed the keenness to expand the implementation of agricultural projects, work on rehabilitating dams and water barriers, establish a real partnership between the community and the Qa'tabah Development Association for land reclamation, and work within the framework of value chain programs to achieve self-sufficiency. He emphasized the necessity of advancing the agricultural sector, reducing the import bill, and enhancing national resilience in this aspect.
Meanwhile, the District Director Dawood Al-Nahham pointed to the most important completed and ongoing projects and the maintenance of dams and barriers. Additionally, the Acting Governor Al-Shaghadi inspected the progress of work in a number of agricultural projects and the cleaning of dams and water barriers, as well as the paving of the Najd Sanaf road.
