Al-bayda: The Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, inaugurated today the distribution of free domestic gas cylinders to the poorest families, funded by the General Authority for Zakat, for a total of 12,952 cylinders.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Governor praised the efforts of the General Authority for Zakat in supporting charitable projects that contribute to alleviating the suffering of poor and needy families. He emphasized this humanitarian gesture as a reflection of the revolutionary and political leadership's commitment to care for the impoverished segment, highlighting the positive impact this initiative will have on those families.
During the inauguration, which saw the presence of the governorate's deputies Abdullah Al-Jamali and Saleh Al-Mansouri, Haider Al-Gharib, Director of the General Authority for Zakat office in the governorate, elaborated on the significance of distributing the gas cylinders. He noted that this initiative is part of the Zakat Authority's charitable projects aimed at reaching the most destitute families.
Al-Gharib stated that the project will benefit 12,952 families, with one cylinder allocated per family, at an estimated cost of 200 million riyals. He underscored the importance of this project in addressing the needs of poor families for domestic gas, particularly during exceptional circumstances marked by aggression and siege.
